Great Outfits: Kate Beckinsale

I knew Kate Beckinsale would do me proud.

The Brit actress blew everyone away on the red carpet at the “Robin Hood” Premiere during Cannes Film Festival this evening.

She wore an outstanding Marchesa strapless blue draped tulle gown with ruffle skirt.
I love the embroidered detail on her bodice which sparkles as brightly as her breath-taking drop earrings from Chopard.

The “Underworld” actress opted for a plum and rose Christian Dior Fall 2010 ensemble with Brian Atwood nude heels.

I love the look which included a layered chiffon top over a plum bustier which was paired with a pencil skirt.

Very event appropriate, with a nod to her sassy side.

Kate skipped the usual dress in favor of spectacular tonal separates. Get the most out of your summer buys by choosing matching pieces that can be worn as a single look or split up into different outfits.

Kate Beckinsale keeps it easy with one hot uniform: sleek black skinny jeans paired with tailored blazers, oversized sunglasses and leg-lengthening nude pumps.

Many of you said you find her red carpet style stale, boring, predictable and samey, but there’s not mermaid hem on this black long sleeved Andrew GN Spring 2010 dress. Don’t you just love that silver beaded embellishment at waist which make the dress more interesting? Grey Yves Saint Laurent platform pumps and a black clutch complete the look. I am forgiving her for the tights and color change from navy to black because Kate looks fabulous.

Kate wears a silver one shoulder cowl side Kaufman Franco Spring 2010 gown. I love how this gown skims her slender frame, but I don’t like the clutch much because it’s too big. A much smaller cute clutch would’ve been preferred.

Kate Beckinsale glided down the red carpet looking so very sophisticated wearing a Lanvin Fall 2009 strapless dress, which has been modified from the runway. The grey off-the-shoulder tulle runway detail has been incorporated into the bodice of Kate’s dress, she loses the runway belt, and her tulle hemline is neater. Stunning antique jewels and grey suede YSL Trib Two’s complete the look. I still like the runway version better with the sly yet demure off the shoulder tulle detail.

Kate wears a Zac Posen Spring 2010 black draped dress. The shoulder-baring dress has a circular accent on the bodice, with a swath of fluid fabric draping from the waist. She paired her dress with a black Lauren Merkin ‘Tatum’ clutch, a gold Miriam Haskell ring and two-tone Christian Louboutin "Luly" sandals. I’ve seen these heels in either cream or black, but never two tone which is an interesting twist. Good look for Kate.

I love that Kate decided to wear this a cowl neck draped Derek Lam dress instead of how it was presented on the runway. The dress features a corseted waist and an asymmetrical hem which she paired with a black Tod’s clutch and Sergio Rossi slingbacks. 10 out of 10 for making it her own.

Gorgeous. Perfect. Kate accented her stunning J. Mendel gown with Fred Leighton jewelry, including ruby chandelier earrings, antique diamond bracelets and a diamond bird brooch, worn as a hair accessory.

In a gorgeous one-shoulder goddess Derek Lam ivory gown with a magnificent gold clutch and gold Amrapali earrings.

Beckinsale accented her blackberry J. Mendel satin gown with vintage Fred Leighton earrings and diamond bracelets from Loree Rodkin.

Kate accented her strapless Jil Sander gown with gold jewelry from Neil Lane.
